More of my story

My Somatic Counseling practice has emanated from my long career as a licensed massage therapist as well as my personal healing journey integrating body, heart, mind, and spirit. So many times, doing body work, it became clear that somaticized, unprocessed emotion and trauma needed a different approach not available in the various modalities I was trained in.

I found such an approach in Core Energetics Therapy, which synthesizes my depth of anatomy knowledge with emotional processing, embodiment work, and unification with divine self. Throughout my training I actively engaged in this work within the group cohort as well as individually and as a result I healed from alcoholism (I have been sober for more than 8 years), my self-awareness grew exponentially, my relationships improved, I became less defended and more receptive to life, I gained skills to cope with emotional distress and to feel grounded, my self-confidence grew, and in general I have felt more connected with myself, more embodied, and started experiencing a sense of wholeness that was new to me.

I have a heartfelt desire to hold sacred space for people to connect with themselves through acceptance, love, compassion, empathy, understanding, and to align with their true, divine self, and reach for what they want. The deep, explorative, and curious nature of this work brings me joy and feels richly satisfying.
